RCIA

What is RCIA?

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, or RCIA, is a communal process for formal initiation of new members into the Catholic Church. This process is a return to the formation of the earliest members of the Church in the first and second centuries.

Roman Catholic Initiation of Adults, is a process where by those who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith come together to learn about the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and at the same time discover where God is present in their lives.

The process is designed for those adults (high school age and older) who are:

  • Un-baptized
  • Baptized in another Christian tradition
  • Baptized Catholic, but with no further religious training or sacraments.

May our Lord guide us all to a place where we can find the greatest peace and support of community in our life's journey.

If you have questions or are interested in participating, please call the Parish Office at 815-467-2233.  Thank you.
